Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field

  • Six years of university program-based experience, including administration and management

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to coordinate multiple academic, administrative, and operational organizations around common goal.

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and remote conferencing applications.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to comfortably speak to large groups.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in applicable field.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage university programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage collaborations between organizations.

  • Experience working with faculty, researchers, and students in program development and operations.

  • Experience working with industry and external partners of university programs.

  • Experience working in STEM-oriented university programs.

  • Experience developing proposals for program funding.

 

Responsibilities:

  • PROGRAM OPERATIONS- Coordinates and connects between TAMIDS programs (for education, research, and training), their participants (faculty researchers, and students), and internal and external partners and programs, to increase engagement and impact. Examples include engaging faculty to deliver training and workshops related to their expertise, engaging student involvement in outreach and data science literacy activities, coordinating event sponsorship from industry partners, and coordinating events with TAMIDS collaborating organizations. Leads or assists direction and operations of specific TAMIDS engagement programs. Works with supporting TAMIDS staff, collaborators, organizational partners in TAMU and externally to ensure high quality delivery. Maintains oversight of operations, identifies problems, and determines and implements adjustments in consultation with TAMIDS leadership and external partners. Coordinates creation of program materials, solicitations, and outcome reporting on TAMIDS website and social media. Coordinates creation and implementation of program assessments and participant surveys.

 

  • PROGRAM CREATION - Identifies new opportunities and communities for engagement. Proposes new programs and extension of current programs in coordination with TAMIDS leadership, program directors, and external partners. Establishes program goals, plans program operations and organizational roles, budgeting, marketing and recruitment, and outcome assessments. Represents TAMIDS in program planning with collaborating partners and operational, delivery, and administrative organizations. Identifies external funding opportunities aligned with TAMIDS engagement programs. Works with TAMIDS leadership, program participants, and collaborating organizations to develop funding proposals.
