Established apparel company is seeking a well-rounded Assistant Designer who will support the Designers in the development process from concept to delivery. The ideal candidate must have an excellent eye for trends, details, and be a multitasker with great organization skills, who thrives in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Design Team to conduct preliminary design research, encompassing competitive market analysis, trend exploration, and color investigation. Must be able to present back to Design Director in organized way
• Translate concepts into visual reality with expertly crafted Illustrator sketches; curate, maintain, and enhance line sheets as needed.
• Develop comprehensive style detail sheets and tech packs
• Engage with clients to communicate collection updates and particulars; ensure smooth daily communication.
• Create trend decks and contribute to the creation of select graphics and patterns.
• Strong eye and aesthetic for trend imagery/research and color forecasting
• Maintain fabric library and must possess a basis knowledge of fabric types
• Communicate with oversees team in relation to product development of protos and samples
• Send packages to customers and oversees team and make returns when necessary
• Strong interest in Women’s/Junior market and trends that relate back
• Organizing supplies for Design department including Pantone and CSI orders.
   

Skills And Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
• Strong understanding of trend and the product development process.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and follow up skills
• Self-sufficient in handling project and working independently.
• Strong ability to multi-task and shift directions when needed
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
   

Compensation/Benefits:

• The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $55,000.00 - $60,000.00. The offered salary or salary range for this position will vary based on role requirements, skill set and years of experience.
