We are seeking a knowledgeable Application/System Support Engineer to provide excellent support to our internal and external teams. Must have solid understanding of how the applications/systems work and perform troubleshooting, respond to assistance requests and handle technical issues in a timely manner. Monitor and maintain the efficiency of our software applications and system.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise all alerts related to application and system procedures and provide services proactively.
- Perform root cause assessment and debug all issues related to Expendable ERP, and availability of applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issue.
- Application/System support engineer will be first to respond to problems. In case unable to solve the problem, will have a responsibility to alert to Manager.
- Provide desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,. System Administration or a closely related field or equivalent experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advance computer skills (ERP Software, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of database, network administration, and system administration experience with a history of accomplishment.
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
- System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus

Salary range $60,000 - $70,000 (dependent upon experience)
