Responsibilities:

The Analyst position provides a key control function within Finance as well as provides exposure to the Senior Managing Director and CFO of the firm, as well as Business Line Heads on a global level. Analyst will interact with members of senior management, including Shared Service Department Heads, Global Line of Business Managers as well as Finance & Accounting.

  • Assist senior team members in supporting the Global Heads of the Shared Services departments to help them understand their costs and find ways to more cost-effectively serve their internal customers
  • Manage budgeted/approved headcount and compensation costs (critical control function)
  • Lead budgeting/ planning process for shared services departments and monitor controllable SG&A costs
  • Deliver monthly/quarterly analysis and reporting of financial results, including variances to the business plan, to ensure key issues, risks, and business drivers are clearly understood and highlighted
  • Assist in the allocation process of consolidated Shared Services costs to the Front Office using PCMCS (proprietary Oracle system)
  • Participate in the planning and execution of various cost-saving initiatives throughout the company as appropriated by Senior Management
  • Prepare executive-level reporting, summarizing findings and recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Ability to summarize complex analysis into key points
  • Demonstrate perceptive analytical abilities, strong communication, interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Must be very proficient with Microsoft Excel, Smartview, Hyperion Planning, PCMCS, Oracle familiarity, Tableau is a strong plus
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP is a plus
  • Self-starter, results-oriented, and problem-solving qualities are desired; willingness to learn is essential

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • Recent college graduate or 1-2 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment; financial services industry experience preferred

Hybrid Working - We are currently operating a hybrid model for our shared services employees (including this role). We anticipate continuing these arrangements for the foreseeable future with periodic review. Hybrid for Cantor Fitzgerald & its affiliates across the working week, means three days office based and two days remote.

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $75,000. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
